My story with Atlantic Paper begins when I was just 13 years old. That summer, I began caddying at Pawtucket Country Club. One of the members, Jack McDermott, thought that I could use some “mentoring,” and eventually talked me into working for him at Atlantic Paper. My first stint with the company lasted exactly one week, as my dream job of working for a large advertising agency panned out the day I started with Jack. It’s funny how life works, though. Six years later I returned to the company, fell in love with his daughter and fellow Sales Rep, Lisa, and the rest is history.

The philosophy that I promote at Atlantic every single day is to create “win-win” situations with customers. Most differences are settled in favor of the customer because we value long-term relationships. In fact, I am proud to say that many of our customers have been with us for more than 30 years!

My favorite part of the job, though? Well, that’s a tough one. I would have to say that the best part of my job as the leader of a great team of people is working through issues that, at the end of the day, make us a better company. Whether it’s a finance, sales, website or operations question, I like jumping into the middle of it and trying to come up with a “system-wide” solution. I guess you could say I am the ultimate “Jack of All Trades!”

When I’m not working, I love to play golf, hike, canoe, ski or try anything that requires a physical challenge. My other interests revolve around community service and my family.
